"Helloooo! You seem like the type that would like to buy some radio parts, hm?" she called, after a rather nervous young man who happened to be scuttling into Junko's view. She had this smirk on her face, just telling the entire city of Tokyo she was open for business.

One would probably have guessed it, that in Japan's state after WWII, where could they have gotten all these radio parts? Simple, Junko took them. There were American soldiers still in Japan, and with them, they had lots of materials. And Junko was lacking them, so why not? It was her Black market now, that not even the Americans or Japan itself could shut down. You wanted whatever, she'd have it.

When the nervous young man from before finally approached her collection, she let her smirk widen. Gosh, business was kinda slow today. Hadn't all those skilled boys out in combat come home already? Junko wasn't sure, but she knew that several of them were probably still out there chasing their tails. ((COUGH, HIROO ONODA))

The man finally came to a decision, showing what he had picked out to Junko.

"That'll be eighty yen." she cooed. Yeah, her prices were pretty cheap. For Radio parts anywho.

The man complied, placing the money in her hand and just as he had come into view before, scuddled away to wherever he may have lived. Junko looked at the coins in her hand, stuffing it into her jingling pocket filled with change.

She opened her mouth, and began her shouting once again.

"ANYONE NEED RADIO PARTS~? WE GOT EM'!"

(I've actually done an entry on this before, but after WWII, all the boys skilled in electronics and what not finally came home. The country was in shambles, but Akihabara had created it's Black Market, specializing in radio parts. Soon, Akihabara grew to be famous for these parts, and soon reverted to regular product that weren't so to say illegal in the 1950s. It blossomed into the center of technology in Japan.)

((GOSH, SHE WAS SO DIFFERENT BACK THEN. FUUUU---- Feel free to correct me if need be, seeing as I was lacking in resources.))

((YOU DON'T MAKE FUN OF MASAHIR--I MEAN ONODA. IT'S NOT HIS FAULT HE WAS MENTALLY DERANGED. :( /shotdown))

Well, the worst of the war was over, and Eiji had miraculously escaped with nary a scratch on him. He chalked it up to being such a smooth-talker with the Americans--not to mention he was too beautiful to bomb. They had taken his iconic clock tower away and were using it as a base exchange, where they sold...whatever, to their soldiers. What would soldiers want to buy? Whatever it was, he seriously doubted it was the kind of high-end goods he preferred. Just the thought of the cheap garbage they were peddling inside of his favorite building made him shudder slightly.

But he didn't let it show; the key to not getting into these conflicts was to suck up to anyone stronger than you, even if they were the enemy. He was not much of a fighter, anyways (he didn't have anything on him that could be constituted as 'muscle'), so what choice did he have?

He was on his way back from university classes, still wearing his gakuran and student overcoat (he made them look good, of course), when he caught an earful of a familiar voice.

"ANYONE NEED RADIO PARTS~? WE GOT EM'!"

Ah, what was this? Jun-chan was learning how to be a buisinesswoman? How cute. She must have been following his example, as the older brother. That was what he told himself, anyways. But dear lord, what on earth was she hawking over there? Radio parts? Didn't she have a better way of advertising than yelling at people? Perhaps he should enlighten her on modern marketing techniques...

Stepping over, he smirked and greeted her, "Jun-chan, hisashiburi~" It had been a while. He didn't care, really, to visit even the other districts in Tokyo. They didn't have the same level of taste as him. "What are you up to over here? You have quite the set of lungs on you~" The most patronizing tone in the world would have found a match in Eiji.

((I'LL TRY NOT TO. /SNICKER))

Junko was still yelling at the top of her lungs, trying to get people to line up for what she had to sell. Alas, she had attracted the attention of someone.

"Jun-chan, hisashiburi~"

Well, she wasn't expecting that at least. Knowing Eiji, he didn't even bother to visit ever. Junko held back a groan, trying not to voice her distaste for the man. Even if she didn't like him very much, he was still a potential customer.

"Well hello there, Eiji-kun~ I'm just selling parts so I can make a living. You looking for anything in particular?" she smiled, leaning into the table she sat behind. She passed her hand above the wide selection of parts set out before her. "And if you aren't looking for parts, I got plenty more of other things to offer you."

"Jun-chan, you have to sell junk just to make a living?" He laughed lightly, "How sad."

It would fully be within her rights to sock him in the face.

"No, I'm not looking for any...'parts'," he snickered. Eiji was not the kind of person who had any clue how electronics worked. That was nowhere near his forte; he just sold the stuff, he didn't care how they were put together or what went into them. As long as they worked and he could get money off of them, that was all he cared about.

It struck him, though, that there was something that he needed a part for, that she could very possibly know about. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a silver clock face, symbolic of the Wako tower. "Actually...the Americans broke this, and I'm not sure how to fix it," he admitted, "I'd pay a lot to get it working again."

Passing it over to her, he chuckled, "I'm not really supposed to be doing this. But that's what the black market is for, right?" The tower didn't even belong to him, right now, but he still held onto the clock. It was probably the only thing in the world he'd never put a price on.

Junko laughed, her clenched fists hidden under the table. God, she really did want to sock him in the face.

"Oh, well, it's better then sitting around and not building the country back up, right, Eiji-kun~?" she herself snickered. Junko definitely disliked when things were at a standstill.

To her surprise, he did have a request. Clocks? Those were easy enough right? Junko thought for a moment if to take it or not. It was held by the Americans, but seemed like something Eiji cared about. Which was rare. She tapped her finger against the table, looking at the clock. From what she could see, it just needed a few minor repairs.

Finally, Junko came to her decision. "Okay, I can probably do that, but-!" she began.

"You'll need to buy some parts along with it, even if you don't need them. It'll only cost you a measly... hmm..." How much would be a reasonable price, but not too reasonable... "A thousand yen~"

"A thousand?" He laughed, hard, "That's it?" He'd been prepared to hear something in the tens-of-thousands range.

Still chuckling, he pulled out his wallet and handed over a bill like it didn't even matter, flashing his somewhat-too-large teeth, "Pocket change." Honestly, what kind of business was she running here? She was setting her own prices, yet she didn't bother to overcharge an obviously wealthy customer? (Well, wealthy in comparison to everyone else. Few were really 'wealthy' right now in Japan.) Not that he would have stood for it if she'd tried to overcharge him--he was no fool when it came to money. But the fact that she hadn't even tried tickled him to no end. And buying some parts he didn't need (which was annoying but otherwise inconsequential) was just the icing on the cake. She was going to waste her goods on him, when he didn't want them? What could he do with them, anyways? He's just throw them into the trash at the first opportunity.

Snickering arrogantly, he admonished her, "You have a lot to learn about business, Jun-chan." Though, his definition of 'business' was questionable. 'Highway robbery' might have been more accurate a term.
